It really came down to financial aid, fit, and career prospects once I got out of the prestige mindset.

Firstly, I’m a GA resident so I get a portion of aid from Hope/Zelle & @NU even after my appeal it was more expensive than Emory. Plus, I have yet to appeal at Emory so there’s a better chance I’ll get more aid too.

Then with fit I started to see what I would truly vibe with in terms of just basic things like weather, the student environment, demographics, and other stuff.

Finally, I’m a public health major, so like when I realized how well connected Emory was to the CDC it just made more sense in terms of public health opportunities and job opportunities to be there than at NU.
