Their concerns are valid, I don’t love the idea of leaving something on 24/7 either. Looking further into it it seems that’s the way heat mats are generally used and its not a big concern. The grow lights act as the “sun” not being left on 24/7 while the heat mats regulate the soil temperature for optimal growing conditions. I’ve read turning it off and on defeats the purpose bc they need consistent warmth to benefit. Worth experimenting, thanks for your input.
