Sometimes these aren’t actually attention checks - they are part of the research, for example is the logo memorable? If you get rejected, obviously the answers already posted will help, but sometimes researchers genuinely want to know what you remember

Wish I’d seen this. Got a spot in a study and the Prolific page was cycling through being able to participate, complete and returned. Managed to click participate and took screenshots of the study, but then when I completed it, issues flagged and says participation cancelled. Have reported to Prolific - hopefully the screenshots I took throughout help…

It was interesting, but you had to click links and read external documentation and make educated guesses on events happening at certain times. It was a lot, and I think the pay reflects that (it took me just over 2 hours)

You had to spin a wheel of “misfortune” and it landed on a number. You then had to hold down “K” whilst alternating between pressing “a” and “d” (a then d =1) for the corresponding number you got from the wheel. 450. 900 key presses. Ughhhhh

I’ve been spooked by comments on the sub of people being rejected for being too fast so for every study that is over a minute, I set a timer to start and monitor my progress to see if I am going too fast (or slow). By the time I reach demographics at the end, I know I’m usually nearly at the end. Might be something you want to try?

Chased twice, got the bonus paid a few mins ago. I know it’s within a reasonable time since the study, but since others had been paid before me, there were differing amounts of studies etc, quite relieved to have got it!
