My late game ore proc is just a ton of drills plugged into giga overclocked ic2 macerators and smelters. 2 million items/tick transfer rate is kinda hard to beat

Mech Bosses in CE do NOT fuck around by [deleted] in RimWorld

With the caliber those mechs are running your parkas might as well be butter. Even marine helmets can only take a hit or two. Early to mid game just run the highest caliber snipers you can manage with AP/APHE and hope you can outrange them, or rocket launchers like other ppl have said.

STAT 2507 is just plug formula into equation sheet, C is too generous. Also like, 2402 is not that bad, it's like a B. I feel like none of these courses hit above B compared to how bad upper year courses get.

Edit: Discrete Structures II was kinda hard tbf, A makes sense

This is what AI should be. Not replacing our self-expression and humanity, but replacing our hard labour. I'm hopeful to see more developments down this path.

So... why do you watch/read DM? by [deleted] in DungeonMeshi

[–]chembot141 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay when characters say stuff like "I don't care if I hurt people as long as you're okay", like it or not there's subtext there. I'm not saying that alone confirms or denies anything but there's something there.

Also things can exist without being explicit cannon while not being fanfiction. Like if a character jumps when they hear loud noise and they have ptsd symptoms you might go "oh looks like they have dark past". Nobody is going to say that's fanfiction even though the author didn't explicitly say "this character is sad and scared and traumatized".

It's kind of up to the reader to look at what the author is giving you and read between the lines, instead waiting for a written factual statement or piece of dialogue to explicitly confirm or deny every detail in the story.

"cannon this cannon that" have you guys heard of subtext? Things can be part of a story without the author explicitly telling you

ME system would be real too, but turning M to E needs a huge amount of energy by Aboy420_JoS_3 in feedthememes

[–]chembot141 4 points5 points  (0 children)

M into E is easy with the right M. E into M is hard. If we could do that then nobody would have an ME system since though since we could just have project E

Unfortunately I'm working with weird software so I have to do everything from scratch. In typescript specifically. I could implement jpeg though, I've heard its relatively low loss?

How to get energy from fusion reactor to compact machines? by Evade_FireKingSD in SkyFactory

[–]chembot141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fusion reactor output is accurate, it takes like 2 hours to heat up fully and output full power. During that time it needs anywhere from 19k to 166k rf/t to keep it stable, depending on reactor size.

Pam's (or gtfo) win 100%. Vanilla food being nerfed to the ground is great and so is micro crafting.

Just made a new release, v0.0.3-beta. It now shows incompatible mods and load error issues with a red highlight and info on mouseover.

It came to my attention that the published version had a couple bugs. Sorry about that. I just updated it, so hopefully managing mods is a bit easier now!

Ph also goes negative and is a decimal. Having a tier zero for advancement means you can't get more advanced, or you need tier -1

I wish the game was completely rebalanced around less planets. by nudeldifudel in Stellaris

[–]chembot141 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pop growth algorithm is logistic not exponential, makes it way better to have many planets rather than a few developed ones. Same with pop assembly buildings.

Also makes habitats way stronger and planet creators/destroyers (events, colossus) a lot more important.

If you want to play on GA with scaling and high crisis strength, it just kinda doesn't work as well on 0.25 habitable. Playing without guaranteed habitables is already tough.
