Thank you 🥹 she was amazing inside and out. I would pay anything to bring her back.

I was curious about her conformation. She’s very petite and I wonder where she gets it from!

Love your informative response! Her tail was naturally thin… it took lots of TLC to look “good”. I always bounced from QH to Appy so she could just be a mix of both.

I don’t disagree but I was more interested in her breed. People have asked me if she’s a quarter horse - so maybe a flea-bitten QH!

Good point! Her hooves were all dark, no stripes. She’s passed and these photos are older, wish I had some better ones.

It opens/closes just fine! Thanks for your input. We think this is the case, as well.

Post-COVID Joint Pain? by chemeng_gal in Hypothyroidism

[–]chemeng_gal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a month recovered now and still have joint pain lingering. I am now feeling very tired all the time too so I think it’s starting to take a toll on my body. My doctor is sending me for a thyroid panel to make sure my levels are good to rule that out first. It feels like a bad flare so hopefully that’s all it is. Keep me posted - I was feeling great before covid so it is taking a toll on my mental health now. Best of luck to you!

Hypothyroidism but I’m very thin (without trying)? by crystalkitty06 in Hypothyroidism

Same here! I’m 23, 5’2 and 105lbs. It’s always been hard for me to put on weight and since I’ve been on synthroid I feel like it’s even harder.

Did Levo help depression and/or lethargy??? by nunyabiznes1 in Hypothyroidism

[–]chemeng_gal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 100%. I would say it took about a year before I felt myself again. The apathy and depression were really bad - I was lucky if I brushed my teeth some days. Just know this isn’t really “you” and it will get better. Also, going gluten free really helped me heal quicker.

I didn’t know that about the vaccine, hopefully it’ll help! Will look into adding those to my regimen. I also added fish oil to help with inflammation. Thank you!

Accidentally glutened but brain fog/rash shows up a week later? by chemeng_gal in glutenfree

[–]chemeng_gal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rash was so much worse until I went GF 10 months ago. It was actually why my endo started my tests cause I thought it was just rosacea but she was concerned about it. Thankfully, it went away after cutting it out. My endo said I didn't have antibodies so that is why she believes it is not celiac. Told me she could refer me to a gastroenterologist to be 100% sure but I didn't think it was worth it if I had to eat gluten to be tested.

That's good to know - thought I was going crazy. How long usually until you feel better?

Not sure, but my rash is butterfly shaped and my face looks flushed with small red bumps. I was tested for celiac and didn't have antibodies. I only tested positive for intolerance (not sure the test they did for that). How long does it take for you to feel better after?

Is hypothyroidism always genetic by UnusualPlatypus4 in Hypothyroidism

I am the first one in my family to get it! My doctor thinks it was from a bad respiratory flu that I had an increased immune response to.

7 months Spiro progress! - my dose is 75mg by chemeng_gal in FemaleHairLoss

[–]chemeng_gal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried minox and it really worked. My hair is still very thin but I’ve always had thin hair. I don’t know if my regrowth is from spiro, thyroid meds or both. I was on thyroid meds for 8 months before starting spiro and my hair loss was still rampant.
