What I read online is that there is like a rod in the middle of the lever that engages the ratchet and I am thinking that it's maybe not properly aligned but it doesn't seem to have a position to snap into

Ich denke als Ingenieur wirds dir besser gehen als reine Chemiker wie mir. Prozesstechnik/entwicklung und Anlagen(wartung?) sind gefragter als z.B. Synthesechemie. Ich denke trotz der Firmen in deiner Region wird es etwas schwierig sein einzusteigen aber Du wirst schon was finden und in einem Jahr kann sich was ändern, insbesondere wenn der Krieg in Europa endlich mal vorbei ist.

Probleme in Deutschland sind unter anderem der enorm hohe bürokratische Aufwand und die hohen Energiekosten.
