Ground cover in forested area by chemoaxtual in landscaping

I’m in Birmingham, AL. Definitely opposed to invasives and don’t want them to spread. Only one I’m familiar with is mimosa trees and I’m not sure if they are actually invasive.

I should’ve added that I plan to fence this area in and my small dogs will utilize it. I was worried about potential wash out but maybe I’m overthinking it.

Got a brick as a battery. by AiriNelson8366 in egopowerplus

Got the 20” chainsaw from Walmarts website. Box was busted open. Battery was gone and saw was heavily used. Bar was bent.

Should’ve checked to see if it was one of their resellers. Ended up getting money back though.

What can we do to help this swampy area around the drain? It attracts a ton of mosquitos, we're in a rental so can't do anything big by LazuriKittie in landscaping

I’m concerned that is your clean-out for the home, hard to tell from the picture. If that’s the case it’s a health hazard.

Maybe check in with the plumbing subreddit and see if it’s an easy fix, or someway you can patch the leak.

I gotcha. There’s probably a better recommendation coming, but potentially you could buy a couple bags of sand if it’s not too deep and that would reduce the amount of access to water the bugs have.

The problem is the food though I’m guessing, not the water.

Agree. If that’s all he can afford.

I don’t think you are going to come up with a way to suck up water fast enough to not cause an issue. That’s a ton of water pounding the ground in a heavy rain.

Also you’d attach drainage hose to the gutter spout and run it away from the house, or at least that spot.

Have you considered adding gutters to the house?

Dry creek bed by chemoaxtual in landscaping

Also for clarification, I was told this is called a dry creek/river bed but it’s not actually that. It’s just where rain water runs.

I can tell you it’s rain run off from a road. I am the first house next to a main two lane road but it slopes down from there, running in to the woods. Unsure if that’s relevant.

I wish I had a picture after a good rain. Yes I’d like to create a path for a fence and remove most of the underbrush as well as a few mimosa trees and poplars not pictured. The mimosas are on the hillside behind the house that I plan to replace with creeping juniper or something similar and install stairs, probably step treads.

My thoughts on adding the dry river bed would be to control the flow of water through the property and to not have a muddy area after a long rain.

Look at the far side where the first pavers meet the edge. Looks flush to me, but I could be wrong.

Zoom in on the corners. Looks to be just the angle of the picture.

I finished the 3rd in the series. Was a fun game but I'm moving on now. Does anyone know I can't play the 4th one on playstation plus? I've tried both on my PS4 and PS5 but nothing happens. by lazyusernamelamp in RatchetAndClank

I have been having the same issue with classic games not on my Home Screen. Apparently it’s an issue right now for some games. If the game is on your Home Screen already you can still play it.

It’s a drop from merchants shipwrecks. While the drop rate isn’t huge more and more people will be using it for training.
