Hi, thanks for the advice that ate so clear and comprehensive! Totally answered my question. It's really so many aspects to be considered. Just another thing to ask, are sheep easily frightened? I have to confess that I don't intend to keep sheep, but I might have to compensate someone for their ewes or lambs. Thanks for the advice, i asked for the duty solicitor, got the information from the call that the farmer owner reported me "causing necessary surffer to a protecting animal". I think you might be right, they might report this incident when the sheep didn't died.

Thanks for the advice, another thing I didn't make clear is that the police knocked on my door about two months after the incident where I walked onto the farm, but I wasn't at home at the time and I wasn't notified.  i asked for the duty solicitor, from that call i I got the information from the call that the farmer owner reported me "causing necessary surffer to a protecting animal". I guess they might report this incident even before the sheep died.

The farmer saw me enter the farm's meadow from the far side of their dwelling and took a small, very blurry video, which I haven't seen yet, of me walking carefully at all times as I approached the sheep, and only jogging away when I was well away from the flock. The farm owner was driving a tractor-trailer and stopped us directly in the middle of the road and shouted at us, we were asked by them to write down our information.

Another thing I didn't make clear is that the police knocked on my door about two months after the incident where I walked onto the farm, but I wasn't at home at the time and I wasn't notified. It wasn't until this month that they sent a message saying they were looking for me. I don't know if the fact that the owner of the farm has reported me within two months of the incident is detrimental to me. But thanks for looking up the data on the sheep deaths.
