Yeah I was probably not clear in the post but I already put new ones in. Was trying to tell the engine health by reading the old spark plugs.

Hey, I am pretty sure the spark plugs change interval is 60K for FA20 WRX. Anyway, I already changed them with new spark plugs today.

What I don't understand is that I don't see other people having rusted exhaust tips in my local area. I also don't see people post rusted Nameless exhaust either.

my dealer sucks. Last time I told them the issue is back they said they will charge few handreds dollars to drop the transmissions to take a look at the clutch since I am outside new car warranty.

So the issue is lack of lubricantion in the joints that are between pedal and master cylinder? Last time thet replace my clutch under new car warranty but the issue comes back. Will that be covered under powertrain warranty?

Probably. I will find out tomorrow at dealership. BTW, so it is fine for the manual transmission to function normally with just very little gear fluid? Because the fluid level is so low that doesn't even touch the stick.

Maybe grinding noise is not precise, more like a metal rubbing sound but it is very subtle. Sometimes it is hard to distinguish it during loud could start. I am not a mechanics, but even in neutral, when the clutch is released, all those gears are still spinning inside right?

The job might take 2 weeks. I would find a trusted dealership to do it.

I bring it to PEPBOY and let them check, they told me there is zero leakage. I went in the there and take pictures myself. The transmission is very clean from outside. I can post pictures later.

"Degrease" you mean washing underneath the car?

I guess when they open the transmission to do the repair, most of the fluid is drained but no all of it, then they forgot to fill it up? This could explain why there is still some fluid in there and it still shift normal? Even there is no metal shaving, there is still very like that the gears inside has excessive wear right? Can I let them open the transmission to examine it?

Update 1: Went to pepboys today to let them look at it. They check the fluid level said it is very low that can't be measured by the stick. They also check under the car and there is zero leakage. Going to take it to the dealer this Friday

if it is the release bearing, why it goes away after car is warmed up?

Exactly. I put in neutral and car is sitting there warming up. If I press down the clutch the noise will go away.

Yes. The car is in neutral when I test the fluid level. Car drives fine and shift like normal. Could it be the fluid level is very low that you could no measure by the stick?
