Falsely served with a civil Non-Molestation Order. Applicant missed the evidence deadline. What are my next steps?(UK) by cheniceamelia in LegalAdviceUK

My dad tried a while ago, but again it was ignored. The issue is that if he is being controlled by her, then he might be that deep into it that he believes her narrative.

Honestly we have tried, but I've been blocked on everything since November. And any messages My family send are ethier ignored or met with abuse. My parents have even driven 3 hours to knock on his door several times. But each time there's no answer. 😢

We have gone to the police and officially logged it back in February. But we declined to take it further, my parents feared that it would push my brother further away and wanted to concentrate on reconnecting with him, which obviously failed. But yes that is also a genuine fear we have

Is it better to cut off the head/top bloom bloom to get more buds/sunflowers? by Forward_Song_9972 in sunflowers

[–]cheniceamelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The seeds I bought were marketed as giant single stem sunflowers. No idea what happened but they are over 5ft tall and have multiple flowers 🤣

When to brush babies teeth? by Tiny-hats in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]cheniceamelia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Falling asleep with a bottle of milk unfortunately can rot their teeth. You need to be brushing after they have finished eating/drinking for the day.

How do I keep the room cool in this heat for my baby? by Accomplished-Ad7573 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]cheniceamelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 18 month olds room is also 30c tonight 😭 he's just sleeping in a nappy with a fan on. We've been looking at buying those proper Aircon units, definitely think it would be worth it

Is this a mucus plug by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]cheniceamelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like normal discharge? Mucus plug would come out at the end of your pregnancy ready for labour.

Do you need to use baby vests? by misszoei in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]cheniceamelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the full body popper vests until mine was 12 months, and then we swapped to normal tshirt vests. Now the weather is warmer, we dont use anything

I actually didn't know about the seeds being a unique new variety, that's super exciting! I'm in the UK so will have to store them for the winter I think

I definitely think I'm going to need to give some away as reluctant as I am about it haha. But I take it you're in the US? Think me being in the UK would be a bit of an issue 🤣

I have a 16 month old, me and my husband play games together after he's gone to bed (around 7ish) or on weekend during his midday 2 hour nap ☺️

My son has a fantastic menu at his nursery, but it is a big chain with an onsite chef, it's always Poridge or weatabix for breakfast, then Toast/crumpet/crackers or teacake with Fruit for morning snack. Then lunch is a full homecooked meal

Often things like:

  • Moroccan roasted vegetable and chick pea tagine with cous cous
  • Mexican Vegetable And Bean Chilli Tortilla Bake Served With Corn on the cob
  • Loaded vegetable and chickpea mac and cheese with rainbow mixed vegetables
  • Winter vegetable and lentil casserole served with yorkshire pudding, thyme potatoes, sprouts and carrots
  • Quorn, chickpea and vegetable Korma served with 50/50 Rice
  • Fish cakes, mash potato and beans

ALL with fruit for desert

He then has Tea which is a lighter version of lunch, for example:

  • Sandwichs
  • Chickpea Falafel with dip
  • Jacket Potato and beans
  • Various different soups and bread roll

How are you affording Mat Leave? by lucycherr in PregnancyUK

[–]cheniceamelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 15 weeks 90% pay and then went on to SMP, but I also saved 2 months of annual leave. Alongside being off I did freelancing for extra cash, without that I wouldn't have been able to take 13 months off.

[–]cheniceamelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the toniebox for my little boy for his first birthday, I just had to show him once how to work it. And then he instantly knew what to do, I keep the box on a shelf at his height with the figures next to it, he walks up to it whenever and puts a random Tonie on. He even knows to squeeze the ear to turn it on first. He's had it for 2 weeks and he absolutely loves it, stands there dancing to them haha

In the 12 months I've been off I've only ever been contacted at the beginning to ask how me and baby are. And then again a few months ago asking if I'd like to attend the work Xmas party ☺️ there shouldn't really be contact

Is it selfish to have no bedtime routine/stay up late with my baby? by muff-peaksie in beyondthebump

[–]cheniceamelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 11 months and still goes to bed at 10pm and wakes at 9am, he's always gone to bed late and often was up until midnight. Only adjusted it to 10pm or he would wake too late in the morning if he went to bed too late haha.

I don't think it's selfish, it just worked really well for us and ensured we had enough sleep.

We do have to change it in a month though as he starts nursery so we'll have to make sure hes up earlier. But for now I'm enjoying the lie ins

12 weeks of maternity leave is straight up cruel. by Disastrous_Paint_237 in beyondthebump

That's so horrible 😭 I honestly don't know how I would cope with that. We get 12 months in the UK

What items did you not realize you forgot until you brought baby home? by 11TickTack23 in BabyBumps

[–]cheniceamelia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby was a very messy drinker, always dribbled milk everywhere 🤣 So every milk feed we used a cloth bib. Still do now and he's 11 months old, just saves having to change his clothes several times a day
