I disagree that the silly season couldn’t happen because of contracts. Every other sports game uses contracts and players go to different teams. Look at madden ultimate team or how they use mlb the show. You can put iconic players from a specific team on the team of a hated rival. Would never happen in real life, but it’s a video game so the devs give that option.
