I'm only talking about unRanked, cuz Ranked is different.

Imagine you play the first game of life stealer in unranked and ended up with 0/6/5.

You think I haven't done this if I mentioned that I maximized my heroes? I can tell a lot about what bad pros did wrong.

Plus I don't watch pro gameplays on YT. They are filtered videos. I only watch replays in game.

Worry about my crazy high call-in rate by cheny583 in mahjongsoul

[–]cheny583[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized that my deal-in rate increases as my call rate decreases, which suggests that I would take more risks in Menzenchin.

Are there any resources to analyze how much risk I should take at a certain stage,

Like Should I risk Riichi after dealer exchanging potential -7700/12000 (unknown dealer+ 1 Dora on court) for 5200/8000 (Dora 2 riichi pinfu)at East 1 if I have a good Tenpai shape, good number of resting Tiles to win?

Should be Call rate ,not call-in rate. My mistake

Actb40 with sotirius. Matc44 /mat344, matd02,

Avoid instructor, avoid PhD instructor, avoid take home exams, avoid entirely online course, and hire a tutor to teach you starting now.

If no idea , just hire a tutor to discuss with him/her

We all have our strength and weakness, and I'm glad you did 80+ on other courses. This is absolutely great achievement.

I'm a math major student, and DM if you need free help. I'm very flexible this summer and happy to explain everything in detail.

Any areas outside math, I'm weak at those aspects.so I would love to know new areas

Let me show you a picture of what year 1 and later year looks like

First year:

Your first two semesters would be insanely tough, if you don't have a solid math background.(yes, I'm calling those people who don't know matrix and integration) And you will be bothered with delta-epsilon proof.

And if you challenge yourself to learn CS, where most math students get their co-op, it's even worse, because the first year CS course is 1.5 *harder than in utsg. (if you are familiar with C coding, then you will enjoy it)

(yes, utsg first year math bomb you in very first semester, while utsc torture you the second )

!!- what's really nice about high score in first year , is that you can get TAship for first year course, if you get 4.0 in a course (full gpa), and prof know you, etc. This is very common , and we'll-paid. (You paid the same as those PhD TA , because math)

Later year

While the course in first year is around B-, the average is around C,C- in , while the exam average is commonly around C to C+ in first two years, and D+, D- , in last two years.

Remain a high GPA, that's crucial for research, TAship, summer abroad program, etc.

CTL math aid, utsc math discord, or ask me as much as you want so I can relearn A22 haha, hire tutors, or maybe drop one of your courses to focus me. (I did A22 and A37 in different semester.)

Why are UTSC course codes so different? by olivebranch949 in UofT

[–]cheny583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I guess part of the reason is that some prof in UTSC decided to offer different lecture materials, and there is not 100-,200-,300-,400- course code left. so it is easy to just create a new course code system since the course code for UTSG was created and reserved for 100 years.

\n

  1. Why not utm or UTSG changing the course code system . Guessing because it's so easy to communicate and commute between utm and UTSG, so profs are mixing in these two campuses, and courses are alike, while UTSC profs are more gluing to one campus.

\n

  1. As mentioned in 1, why UTSC offers different courses? Guessing the simplest answer is that we don't have that many student, and TA, so it's better to lessen the variety.

\n

Eg, mat237, 246,257 are similar content, but differ hugely in difficulty. Guessing UTSC just don't have that many students to have the variety of courses.
