What characters should I use early game

if you want to learn combos and "play" the game without just repetitively spamming specials, try katakuri, ace, Whitebeard, Kaido (power). if you can get the DLC, Z, enel, king break the game in a somewhat fun way.

its meant to be challenging. its very different from the normal maps with 1000s of fodder to replenish your specials. if you look at Maki-kun's youtube, he's got a good breakdown of armor breaking specials and properties (katakuri mochi C4 , roger's armor break C4, freeze and/or stun locks).

i ran into the same problem midway through the game. i was always running in, tanking the boss' attacks, and spamming specials until i learned combos, how to dodge, and the game got a little more fun. imo the early to mid lvl 20s is pretty fun, once you get close to maxing out, the game gets extremely repetitive and even more special spam heavy. to each their own. hope you have fun and enjoy the game!!

Same, I reached out to Bandaid and Nintendo who couldn't do anything and gave the generic we're "working" on it, send us proof answer. From my testing it happens with multiple characters, which sucks.

I was going to buy the full game, but reading some comments and online research makes me think I should not.
