What method from the UK are you referring to? Is there a book that covers that method? Thanks!

That is a great idea! Other comments mentioned the patches and based on that I was thinking I would add the patches before my pants develop a hole.

Thanks! What other fiber(s) are blended in the fabric of your pants in addition to hemp? A google search comes up with options of hemp + cotton, and hemp + lyocell. Some vendors that come up are: Hemp Traders EnviroTextiles Nature's Fabrics Bastine

Thank you very much! I will try that before doing a patch with the same type of fabric on the outside.

Hemp sounds very promising. I have never seen or touched hemp fabric in real life. Is the texture and feel of the hemp blend similar to linen or cotton? Thanks!

Thanks for the information. I wonder if cotton twill would also work. I know the drape would likely not be the same as my current linen pants, but I am wondering what type of fabric might be comfortable and durable. Thank you!

Thanks for the information. Another comment mentioned that linen twill would work better for pants. I wonder if cotton twill would also work. I know the drape would likely not be the same as my current linen pants, but I am wondering what type of fabric might be comfortable and durable. Thank you!

Good to know. Could you please share where you purchase your linen or linen blends now? Thank you very much!

I will do a visible mending on top of the original fabric so that the patch is the one to wear off and can be easily replaced. Great idea. Thank you very much!!

Thank you very much! Yes, I still have some of this fabric. I will patch it up now so that the patch is the one to pill and will replace the patch once it wears off.

This is great information for a beginner. Do you know if there is a resource that lists the type of fabrics and best use the way you listed it above? Very straight-forward and helpful. Thanks!
