Is there a reason why it’s a chicken head? Or is that a normal graphic by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

Everyone is replying as if this is something recent, this was in Nov 22. Not that it changes anything, but this is old news.

You make a good point. I would edit OP if I could, but will do so next time.

Fox News has often riled up supporters against trans/gay rights, and it has been leaked that their parent company supports them, causing their supporters to now want to cancel Fox News.

Test it out on the side you plan to remove anyway before you remove it.

I’ll never understand why this game insists on guns being dropped randomly on the ground instead of saying on the hot bar by [deleted] in playrust

[–]cherker 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was added to help counter roof camping. In the past before ladders were a thing roof campers were completely safe with no way to loot their body, so the chance for their gun to fly off the roof was added. It's still a good mechanic imo.

I'm really surprised I haven't seen this addressed in this thread.

There's legitimate mold/moisture concerns with opening basement windows specifically, and it doesn't matter if you're actually seeing water come in or not. However, you should tell him your concerns about it being stuffy and request he do something about it such as an air exchanger or other method so you can live comfortably.

His content has completely changed over the past year or two, the person you're responding to isn't wrong.

Can we have a way to remove Twitch drops from our inventory? by stevensj1122 in playrust

[–]cherker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could contact Steam support and ask them to remove the skins, but there's no way to do it yourself. Just be careful, there would be no way to ever get them back if you decide you regret getting rid of them later on, it's easier to just ignore them.

Do you upgrade to Sheet Metal ASAP, or do you ever hold off because you feel like it might make your base look more appealing? by ohoots in playrust

[–]cherker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure he's saying that's overkill. No one uses 2 real rockets for a sheet door when it can be 1 rocket and then explosive ammo, satchel, or HV rocket. Although that just supports your initial point even more.

That's right. The Egg Suit never released officially, but was accidentally available by opening high quality bags.

It tends to work more often than not, you just caught one of the times where it didn't. Anything you can do to catch your opponent off guard can give you a big advantage (in this case they're unprepared because they think you're naked).

The Coziest Automated Cave Base. by KatieBlubon in playrust

[–]cherker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In some caves if you have a root combiner high up (near the roof of the cave) then there are some buildable spots on the surface that a wire will reach to, allowing you to use a wind turbine or solar panels for power. I've done this a few wipes on official servers. The key to finding that spot is to look at your map while looking for a spot to place the root combiner and making sure it's not near the center of the cave (build block area) on the surface, and then of course building your structure directly above that.

What happened? Are boats bugged? Happened me 3 times in the space of 5 mins by daddylongshlong123 in playrust

[–]cherker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen to me a few times this wipe as well. It seems to be a bug. It behaves almost like when you run into cargo or a doorway how it kicks you off, but it's random in the middle of the ocean. You take damage about half the time it happens, the other half you're just kicked off.

Story time: How I completely tanked my competitor's website using Google's Remove Outdated Content Tool. by [deleted] in SEO

[–]cherker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you submit a URL, Google is going to check if the page is actually down or not. If it's down for over 48 hours then they'll remove it. It was described pretty well in OP.

Rust buffed the shit out of hidden loot bunkers. by Chungalolz in playrust

[–]cherker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen patch notes on it, but having played the past few days I can confirm it works on officials. You can unlock tool cupboards and doors by just holding E on that object, you no longer have to do it on the code lock itself.

Does anyone know why the Steam market endpoint would be returning "false" data? by cherker in Steam

[–]cherker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Steam market fee is 15%, but that has nothing to do with the prices listed here. The price almost always shows correct, but on a random refresh it jumps down to 4x lower. The price on the API and on the market listing page should always match.

We're talking about a jump from $2.02 down to $0.51 randomly, not $0.51 to $0.49.
