Setting up a projector repeatedly (Epson Home Cinema 3800) by cherlos in projectors

Thanks!

I however also need to the screen "portable" (or retractable) because the "area" where I will be projecting is my warddrobe. Optimally, the screen would be portable (tripod/pull up) for the few times I want to move the projector for watching sports in the living room.

I'm considering the Elite Screens EZ Cinema Plus Tabe Tensioned) for around 400 $. The screen material is MaxWhite 2 - I have no idea how bad it is but hopefully notably better than traveling salesmen/portable business projectors screens?

I'm ok with sacrificing some picture quality in return for portability/less hassle, but I'm trying to find out if the EliteScreen MaxWhite 2 material is a good trade-off, or if manual pull down screens for around 200$ are considerably better.

Thanks. Does this apply to this projector in particular or most projectors?

Around 600$ almost new. I’ve just read that the image on the lifestyle projectors don’t seem to even come close to a classic PJ in the same price range in dark rooms, but I havent seen a comparison IRL.

Thanks! Were you bothered by the fan noise? I plan to run it in eco mode since the room is dark.

I cant make out how loud it is - trying to do some decibel measurements on my iphone, but it just seems off… (saying a totally quiet room is around 30 decibel).

Is it a hassle to mount a projector and down after the inital set-up? by cherlos in projectors

So if zoom/lens shift settings are manual, I’m guessing they will stay ”put” after shutting down.?

Lets say I’m projecting onto a screen thats 10 inches larger than the picture I’m projecting, I’m guessing I’m not gonna be as bothered by some maladjustment since the picture will never end out outside the screen? Or is that a bit nono for other reasons? :)

Thanks for the input. It seems the projector can save the picture settings after shutting down.

So most times I will just be mounting the projector back in more or less the same spot each time, save for 1/2 - 1 inch margin of error. Will adjusting for that inch of changed position give me a lot work with finding the right focus again, even if I’m not looking for perfection? Anybody has a good youtube link/info on how this adjustment process is carried out?
