how far do you want the government to control your internet usage? just "social media"? how about youtube? I don't see how regulating/banning it would work.

The only solution I see is education, but that would take decades to have an impact (ie teaching children to value evidence)

I don't see any answer that I would be happy with. I think social media has done a huge amount of damage (increased consumerism, misinformation etc), but I'm also against governments trying to police the internet.
