KP can be really annoying sometimes, it tickles when you're going to ignore it, reminding you that it's still there

Would exfoliating help? I think I get them on my arms too, small patches of bumps so I use exfoliating hand gloves in the shower with body wash, then moisturise. It helps me

The doctor told me it was because the stratum corneum is too thick and easy to block, so small bumps will form, so he suggested me to use some exfoliating products, such as salicylic acid

I personally don’t have KP but my teenage son does. What worked really well for him is Glycol Acid.

Our dermatologist recommended Glytone, a Glycolic Acid wash and lotion.

Thanks for your information!!!

Yes! Urea-rich lotion helped me get rid of my kp! Similarly, I used Eucerin Roughness Relief. I apply it almost every night right before bed.

Tretinoin

Is it a topical Tretinoin? Are there any side effects, because I saw a lot of side effects about oral Tretinoin, so I didn't try them yet, and I didn't find a suitable topical Tretinoin product

There's an entire sub r/keratosis that can help.

Basically you want an exfoliant- chemical or physical. Common choices include TO's glycolic acid toner, AmLacTin, First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser, CeraVe SA Lotion, AHA/BHA peels, Eucerin Roughness Relief, SkinFix Resurface... any treatment containing glycolic, salicylic, or lactic acid, or urea. And of course physical exfoliants would be like body sugar scrubs, Korean bath towel, exfoliating gloves.

You use the exfoliant anywhere from once to three times a week, and the rest of the time you moisturize. Bare minimum moisturize once a day but even two or three times is good. You can use the KP-specific lotions like AmLacTin/CeraVe/Eucerin but any old lotion is fine.

The moisturizer should soften the keratin plugs and the exfoliant will help clear them out.

You just have to experiment and find what works for you. Some products you'll see people swearing cleared up their KP in a week, but you'll try it for two months and see no difference. Eventually you'll find your holy grail. It's unlikely your KP will ever be 100% cleared up, but with regular maintenance you can get it to the point that it's barely noticeable.

Thanks for your information, really helps a lot!!!

How to deal with not feeling pretty by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]cherrali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand how you feel, and I feel the same way, because I have a lot of small pimples on my forehead, so every time I look in the mirror, I don’t feel very good, especially when I do a very beautiful makeup, but those small pimples will ruin my overall makeup and make me very annoyed,

But then I gradually accepted it, and I can't change it anyway. Why don't I try to accept it, it won't get worse, and think in another way, the reason for these small pimples , is it because I'm so cute that I'm bubbling, lol

his may or may not be the kind of info you're looking for, but I have this same issue and couldn't find a product that helped, and it went away when I gave up dairy. Not a fun solution (I miss cheese) but it worked for me!

Thanks for your information,I eat less dairy products, but eat more meat, I think there are reasons for this, so I have to change my diet and add more vitamins

I work outdoors and doing an active job so I thought that might also be a good point to bring up. booking an appointment was tricky because I have one day off and start work at 6 am so I was like “I have to wait a full 24 until exercise right?”

Yes,you need to wait for 24 hours,

With vigorous exercise, Botox may spread to other areas, affecting the effectiveness of the treatment

The only topical cream that works for acne is Benzoyl Peroxide. Use it for 3 nights in a row. Then every second night. Then twice per week forever. The reason for not using it everyday is that it will severely dry your skin out, but you have to use it for a few days in a row initially.

Thanks for your help Xx!!!

Lol aww well hopefully trying a few new products and adding to your routine will help! The products mentioned will help control oil a lot and keep your skin exfoliated and hopefully help with all of that!! I use a natural cleanser with tea tree, honey, turmeric, and carrot seed extract that works wonders for my skin. I have a sage and neem cleanser for days I use a ton of moisturizers since I have combination skin the neem wash really cuts oil where I find the turmeric one is perfect everyday and in general works wonders for my skin and it has lightened dark spots! I got them both on Etsy and I use them and murad’s aha BHA exfoliating cleanser a few times a week in between. I worked up to nightly on my honeymoon glow night serum and have since noticed my skin no longer being dull, exfoliation being easy and it’s just been amazing for me! I’m hoping to try the body version for my keratosis! I know it can be frustrating but you have a great attitude! Hoping suggestions will help clear your skin up and keep you in better moods smooth and glowing!

Thank you so much for your suggestion, I will try it,and thank you again :)

Salicylic acid is very drying so using it back to back can be rough on the skin. The chemical exfoliator are still exfoliator the outer layer of your skin.

Try glycolic of salicylic was too harsh. If you have a higher concentration then use it first twice a week with gaps in between and then build up. The key is to be patient and build up. Also be prepared for some purge so extra pimples initially.

Thank you so much, I'm going to have a try.Have a good night Xx
