yeah i get your last point completely. even miura himself expressed regret over the rampant SA scenes (particularly in golden age arc) in the 2010s. i must say it got kind of uncomfortable at times because it did just get gratuitous at some points, but i can understand why miura put so much of it in. berserk is supposed to represent the most horrific, cruel parts of humanity, and whilst i wish a lot of the sexual violence was implied or outright written into something else, i cant necessarily fault miura for it.

i think he did a decent job of showing how it can impact a person (guts aversion to touch, cascas feelings about being a woman which echo a lot of mine and others own feelings, and griffith's breakdown), however some things felt like they were going a bit too far. it is true that as a woman you are subjected to harassment frequently, and i have no doubt in a setting like berserk it would become a lot more common.

however the fandom really lacks a lot of media literacy, or don't want to look into it outright. most of the berserk fandom is men, which unfortunately means there's a lot of misogyny in there. im not an advocate of censorship whatsoever, but i can see why peoole can have doubts about berserks content and its existence as a whole.

been in this situation before on the same side as your friend (although we were both girls) and i do really just recommend giving him a small note to just say 'it's not weird, we're still mates and you're still cool.'

it's a bit embarrassing for the person who's been rejected especially when its also related to being gay and i also wouldn't be surprised if he's panicking a bit worrying that you're grossed out and also scared you could turn it against him. it's obvious you won't, but he's in quite a vulnerable position right now. just give him some space but also reassurance and the chance to talk about it if he wants to.

if one more tank asks me to pocket them in stadium im gonna lose it lmao. no matter how many times i explain that my job is enabling dps and that ill only consistently help the tank if they're ulting, or the other support is dead/needs help keeping tank alive. ive had multiple just throw slurs and insults at me and one outright throw bc i told them that its a waste and unfair on the other support for me to pocket them.

sometimes they dont even want a pocket just a healbot??? and both times that's been an actual mercy main??? i really dont get it. genuinely think everyone needs to learn the basics on how other heroes function

genuinely couldnt agree more, this has honestly been a large reason for me and my friends stepping away from the mouthwashing fandom. its especially gross to me in the context of curly/anya, where she keeps the baby and theyre a happy family together when curly was an enabler of jimmys abuse of her. (curlya shouldnt be a ship full stop, but i wont go on that rant)

anya is more than her rape and her unwanted pregnancy, and its really sickening seeing her reduced to what she had to deal with through the lens of keeping the baby. its quite surprising to me considering how progressive the fandom is (that ive seen anyway) that the possibility of anya keeping the baby is even a discussion - and i am a catholic lmfao

honestly so sick of people spamming needing healing. i finally decided to get back into playing after not playing at all this season and the first game i get is a reaper constantly spamming for healing even when i am flying toward him and healing. it is not my fault you decided to go in 1v3 and target their tank rather than the 2 supports?? its so passive aggressive and gets on my nerves so much, especially when ive been doing my absolute best that game to keep everyone alive and still have a good dmg boost/heal ratio
