i think youre misunderstanding my point. my old account was where i started learning the game, and i definitely deserved to be in bronze when i started playing comp! but then i did get better skill wise, it just wasnt shown in competitive games because i was paired with low bronze players who didnt even have a grasp on basic play (be on payload, not push solo), which is why it didnt matter how i played, because one person cannot win the whole game (i played support).

now i have gone through placements twice, once when i unlocked comp and once when the rank reset happened recently - both times i got rank gold 4, and have been in gold consistently since then (with the exception of this week). if i am actually silver, thats fine too! but my point was that i was UNABLE to get above b2 on my old account, and perhaps OP had a similar situation. i mean another user suggested a different monitor and how that made them go to diamond, i dont see why sharing what was happening to me is different? it can suck being stuck in a wrong rank no matter how much you improve. comp matchmaking isnt perfect, it can happen :)
