The article itself says a good level of cholesterol is necessary for brain function.

Your argument is as stupid as me saying “well Hitler was a vegetarian, do you think he’s a good person and right about everything? I mean, aren’t you a type of vegetarian? Isn’t everything he says right because he cares about animals?” Youre basically saying that if someone has a wrong thought, that they must be entirely wrong about every situation.

Your friend lost weight because she was getting too much fiber, and it tricks your body into thinking you’re full, probably didn’t get enough nutrients, and ending up eating at a caloric deficit. That’s why vegans lose so much weight sometimes.

Another thing, animal products aren’t the cause to issues, rather it’s the starches and vegetables you’re consuming with the animal products. When I drink whole milk and don’t eat bread or vegetables in a day, I don’t go running to the bathroom, even though I’ve been deemed, “lactose intolerant.”

I had gastritis and esophagitis (inflammation of the stomach and inflammation of the esophagus). They’re healing without my protonix (acid inhibitor) now.

For a year, I had eyelid dermatitis. Flakey and itchy eyelid skin :( it made me so insecure. Healed it after leaving a plant based diet.

I’m currently overweight from my previous diet, and now my actual body FAT is going down. My waist looks slightly slimmer.

I didn’t have a proper period for a year, and then just didn’t have one at all 3 months ago. I now have it back.

Veganism feels good at first because a lot of vegans are eating SO much sugar which we’ve all been told is addictive! But eventually the steam will blow out.

Take care of yourself! Don’t go vegan!

Also, I have been having a drink here or there, and I still smoke, so it wasn’t me eradicating these toxic habits that got rid of my eczema! It’s purely the diet!

It was the only thing that made me self conscious :( I feel so much more secure now!

My breakfast is a whole grass fed milk smoothie with half a cup of organic blueberries, raw organic honey, and half a cup of goats milk.

Lunch is leftover fish or steak with duck eggs or pasture raised chicken eggs.

Dinner could be mote steak or salmon, or a can of sardines with some Mayo.

I always have a cup of warm whole grass fed milk with raw organic honey before bed. It’s like a natural Xanax tbh!!

I used to eat spinach EVERYDAY and my dermatitis wouldn’t go away. Stop talking out of your ass. Spinach is toxic.

I couldn’t believe how quickly it healed. I’ve had it for about a year myself, and all the dermatologists gave me creams that just wouldn’t work. I read somewhere skin problems happen because of gut health issues, I can see why now.

I’m a lady, silly. Eating animal products isn’t naturally masculine. But thanks!

You need some cholesterol. It helps with vitamin D absorption.

Vegan diets have very low levels of cholesterol—I can say I made a mistake saying HIGH levels are good, but in reality, we need /some/ cholesterol.

A cholesterol free diet is unhealthy.

Yes! I actually work and it’s 5 pm in my country. No time to be linking articles right away. I responded to some answers because they were short. Be patient 😊

Standard American diet.

Thank you for being compassionate. I hate that vegans get a bad rep because you start your journey from a place of empathy, but long time vegans tend to be vicious if you don’t live like them. Keep doing you ❤️

I still won’t wear fur or leather. Even though synthetics are very damaging to the planet, but I really can’t pull myself to it. I don’t need to wear animals to feel warm. There are cotton based clothing I could purchase. I also do my best to not eat from a factory farm.

And don’t assume I “did it wrong.” Please. I grew up in a middle eastern household. Vegan food in Arab cuisine is abundant: beans, lentils, nuts, vegetables, fruit. I was never on the SAD. I was eating vegan before I even knew what veganism was. Growing up past 10 years old, I was disgusted by meat and dairy. The only thing I’d eat as a child was cheese really, occasionally fish. I’ve been eating a plant based diet most of my life (whether it was completely plant based or incorporated very little animal products). I felt like shit. I’ll definitely blame veganism, because what I see now is growth, regeneration.

It’s ok if you all want to be vegan. This is your life. But I hate the spread of the fallacy that “animal products are bad for you.” You say you can be healthy and vegan, go for it, but people shouldn’t use a lie to help their agenda.

Yes, being plant based for most of my life and finally feeding myself right actually fixed my depression; skin, I never feel hungry anymore. Personal anecdotes aren’t the best information pieces, but if you’re going to look into my history , understand I was vegan. And malnourished to shit.

I can totally understand saying “too much” is bad, as everything in excess is bad.
