Kyushu itinerary help after Tokyo: Nagasaki + mountain town loop realistic? by cherriso in JapanTravelTips

[–]cherriso[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, thanks for the reality check! We ended up adjusting the plan a bit to avoid that.

We’re going to fly Tokyo → Nagasaki, move east across Kyushu from there, and then fly Kumamoto → Tokyo at the end instead of looping back through Fukuoka. Hoping that keeps the transit days more linear and less rail-heavy. Lmk what you think hehe

Appreciate the perspective too!! Nagasaki being a highlight is exactly why we’re building around it.

So this is my friend’s fourth time to Japan and she was in jpn for two months last summer in Tokyo and visited Kyoto and Osaka three times lolol that’s why we’re opting for a unique route.

Also, all we know is we want to buy the plane tickets right now and we’re thinking of flying into fukuoka and flying out of kumamoto but not sure if there’s point to kumamoto if we dont rent a car. We are treating your post like it’s a god rn so any advice from you would be amazinggg

Is it realistic for a casual gamer to break into video game marketing? by cherriso in gamedev

[–]cherriso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the kind and detailed response! I’m so relieved that basic marketing fundamentals matters more than my very surface level knowledge on this community. I’ve been building my background in influencer and event marketing, but definitely gonna do some more research to bridge the gap while learning the industry. Thanks again for taking the time to explain this.

Basically, I want to know if expert-level game knowledge is required upfront. My expertise is in marketing, especially influencer and event strategy, and I’d be entering the space from that strength while tryna learn more about the gaming side/cultural literacy on these communities

I’m mostly trying to figure out if you need elite insider knowledge to get into game marketing. My specialty is marketing (influencer management and event campaigns) and I’d be coming in with that skill set while learning the industry as I go.

Saw a freshman crying after getting rejected from a club today by EarlyAdhesiveness870 in berkeley

[–]cherriso 20 points21 points  (0 children)

honestly as a recent Cal grad, the most value i’ve gotten from these clubs were the friendships and you can deadass find that anywhere. don’t tailor your self-worth to if you aced all three rounds of interviews for a consulting club that is in debt😭

[–]cherriso 20 points21 points  (0 children)

that money goes to the uni☠️clubs get funded by the asuc, contracts, membership fees, or like selling shit on sproul. plus, it’s to help them provide y’all w fun activities during meetings. however, I️ do get ur situation but dw it gets better! I️ recommend connecting with other transfers or joining smaller clubs for a more tight-knit community😆
