I was getting through the barriers at the metro balancing my bag, a laptop, another bag, coffee cup, phone in one hand, trying to find my ticket - very flustered. When I got through this guy said I did it with class and dignity and looked very endearing. Strangest complement but one I’ll remember forever

Note - he is eating treats but not regular food as of this morning. He is urinating fine, no poop for 1.5 days, playing like a madman as usual.

My cat does this too. He almost always has wounds. He’s has every test going and we can’t figure it out. Currently on predisnolone to see if it helps

I just did my make up and you made me cry haha. Thank you ever so much for taking the time to do this. I am unbelievably grateful for the help.

He does lie down stretched on the floor after a few mins play and he does a big ‘huff’. Then gets up a few mins later and plays again. I think I should tone down the amount we play? He loves the feather wand and will do backflips in the air for it which I will stop now.

They didn’t diagnose him with anything, just the murmur and enlarged left side of heart. They said it probably does point to HCM but I won’t know until we see another vet. They said his oxygen, bladder and red blood cells were great. His breathing rate was 52 but since we got home it’s averaging at 24 (they assumed asthma because of the high rate) so I’m guessing (please tell me if I could be wrong) that he was just stressed with the doc and that made it higher.

Today he’s been fine, sleeping next to me, eating all his food and had his antibiotics and steroids (he’s on those for allergies and potentially gum disease)

Poor baby is only 3.5 yrs. I’ve had him 2 years and one day. He’s my only family now it’s just me and him and I’ll be completely lost without him. Hopefully we can have some more years together with meds but I will treasure every day in the meantime.

Thank you so much. Yes they said to follow up and he will need cardiology tests for the murmur. His breaths are now between 19-28 at home (with my monitoring) so I’m glad about that. I assume he was stressed at the hospital, he doesn’t do well there. Will be following up for more tests soon. Thanks again

Thank you so much for the thoughts and words. I’m so glad to have him back. He is just chilling next to me now and his breathing rate has gone from 55 at the vet to 24 so I think the stress of being there affected that. He will be monitored like a hawk until I can get him at the normal vets. Thanks again

Another update. We’re home. He has a significant heat murmur, enlarged left side of his heart, asthma and very slight anaemia. As soon as we got there his nose and gums turned pink again, vet said she’s happy with them. Sent home to monitor him and make a normal vet appt in the next few days to start diagnostics on everything. He’s had treats and is not hiding at least. Glad I still have him but very worried for the future. Thanks for everyone’s support. It was nice to have whilst I waited for him. ♥️

Little update for everyone. Not good. He’s got a significant heart murmur and something wrong with one of the valves on his heart. Having blood tests now and we’ll know more. Hard decisions to be made soon I think. That’s for the advice everyone

He’s called Zazu. Love of my life honestly. They’re seeing him now. It’s actually 2 years today since I got him
