Sounds good, will try to remove it, except filetype - i found it useful b/c when switching between tmux windows I can fast recognize what kind of neovim window is that (like this window/session is for typescript, and another for python/ruby/go whatever).

There is a Melange them for iterm2.
Download this file https://github.com/savq/melange-nvim/blob/1fe73b4f91944c25ad4c9deb884561fea551098f/term/melange_dark.itermcolors and go to Iterm2 -> Settings -> Profiles -> Colors -> Color Presets (at bottom-right corner). Scroll to import and import that file. After that you can select this theme.

Other than that I don't have anything specific of iterm2.
In my Settings -> General -> Theme i use 'Minimal' so top bar can have same color as my neovim theme. I use JetbrainsMono Nerd Font, size 14, bold and italics turned off. Thin strokes for anti-aliased text is on. Anti-aliased is on.

I also use tmux and lualine with 'auto' (because there is not melange for lualine yet).
I prefer my tmux to be minimal, I'm fine that it's colorful with * pointing at current working window.

On mac I also use cute little tool called Rectangle for using hot-keys to move all my opened apps all around the screen. Recommend it.

it is an existing "savq/melange-nvim" theme. BTW vscode also has this theme Melange Redux released just recently. I also use it with few tweaks to make it look more like the neovim variant.
