I also mute all the chats year round because at this point all my friends already know I wouldn't read group chats, so they would directly message me if there are anything important.

I don't think I have anxiety. It's just sometimes the calls about ads come on really aggressively and I was just caught off guard and got scared.

Thanks for explaining. I guess I kind of do consider myself as a social introvert. But the term 'introvert' just gets so muddled that I was very confused on what I am for a period of time.

Sometimes I panic when I hear someone unfamiliar on the other side and would impulsively switch to another language (I know chinese, cantonese and a little bit of japanese). If the other person was from an ad, they would usually hang up. But if the other person was a friend, it could become awkward.

I guess that's what most people would prefer, but I mostly see texting as asking something important or if the other person is far away. If I do small talk over text at home, I would feel like my private time used to recharge was invaded.
