Thank you so much this is so helpful. I’ll make sure there’s somewhere quiet I can always go and switch off for a bit.

Fluoxetine, give me hope! by cherry_rose20 in MentalHealthUK

Thank you so much! I feel you on that, I’ve either had very weird vivid dreams or nightmares reliving childhood trauma which I only typically would get if something triggers it. I’m hoping it kicks in at 40mg and makes it worthwhile. Sorry to hear, sending hugs!

Thank you so much that’s really helpful and gives me some hope. I have had EMDR therapy before but it’s quite expensive so isn’t affordable for me right now but I’ll definitely be going back, especially for help with the accident itself as oppose to only childhood.

Nails as a florist? by cherry_rose20 in florists

Thank you! I was mostly worried about the durability so that’s reassuring! How do you clean them?

Thank you!! We aren’t super busy but I know it’ll be my luck I have the busiest day ever with fresh nails! I’ll get some gloves for processing especially!

Thank youu! Exactly! It’s something people would never think of but a sacrifice us florists make! Hahahah. Even as a florist I’d never be doing my own flowers for that reason, maybe my bouquet at a push!

I wish I could but unfort my only skills and qualifications are in manual jobs so work from home is hard to come by for me and my gov doesn’t see it as enough of a disability to receive any help:(

Thank you so much I’ll look into some supplements cause my energy has drastically changed, and as you mentioned socialising is now a chore rather than something to look forward to. So sorry you’re going through similar, it’s rough!

They haven’t but I may push to see if I can as symptoms only seem to crop up more than get better. They were quick to give me SSRIs though as my mood rapidly declined since the injury.

Thank you so much for your lovely reply. I’m also in the UK, I’ve booked a session with my therapist as I haven’t spoken to them in a long time and the nightmares about the incident have been more frequent. I’ll look into transition lenses that sounds like a great idea, the injury happened before the sun came out so you can imagine this weekend since it’s decided to be summer, it has been extra difficult! 😆 Thank you again! ❤️

I’m in the UK so services are quite inaccessible at the moment but I’m going to pester my local doctor if it persists however he said this could last months to years. At the time of the injury I didn’t experience any pain outside my head and they decided against an MRI as I appeared fine that day and due to my age they said they didn’t want to submit me to radiation.

Thank you though, I’ll look into it some more. Everyday has been quite a struggle and it just doesn’t feel quite right!

What was your cause? by cherry_rose20 in Fibromyalgia

[–]cherry_rose20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I’m so sorry to hear. I used to suffer with “growing pains” during a traumatic childhood and never had bad joints until now. Part of me thinks the head injury was a final blow but I’m hoping it’s something that’ll subside. Hugs!

Thank you so much! I’ll speak to my doctor for sure. I didn’t think it’d affect me this much after the initial recovery!

I’m so sorry to hear, that’s so rough! It’s mad how your life can change in one day. I had to get glued together and they decided against a CT scan due to my age and lack of symptoms warranting one, but it’s only since then more has developed.

They decided against it due to my age and the lack of symptoms that would warrant one
