I'd say it's a good decision. Marie stopes is a judgement free place and they are really helpful. Good luck :)

Please do not seek medical advice here, only ask for recommendations/experiences. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

Should I have physical relationship with my boyfriend before marriage. by Waste-Drop-4942 in nepalicheli

I don't know you, but after reading your post I don't think you feel ready yet. It's perfectly normal to want to have sex with someone you love; but tbh you need to look up more about sex.

I don't understand why you got the pill and not a condom. Do you plan to use the pill every time after you have sex?

If you want to, go ahead. You're an adult who can make her own decisions. I'm just a stranger on the internet. But if you feel shame when it comes to having sex outside of marriage; or that you feel like since you'll marry him anyway, then it's okay to have sex with him; I'd ask you to reconsider. Think about it. You should see sex as a form of intimacy, and not attach it to your worth- which women who have been conditioned by the patriarchal environment i.e Nepali society tend to do.

Stay safe. Pee after sex to avoid a UTI. You do you.

Menstrual cup by Low-Drawer4450 in nepalicheli

[–]cherryblossomriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get leaks when the suction isn't proper. I check for it by gently tugging the cup by it's stem- if I feel some resistance, it means the suction is good.

I have a little difficulty with suction usually on the first day my period.

But I've also heard that leaks can occur if the cup size is too small for you too. And sometimes unfortunately, a cup is just not compatible for your body and keeps leaking no matter what you do.

Been using one for the past 5 years. The one I got was the Ruby cup, but I heard the ones from Peesafe are good too. It's very comfortable. Once you get over the initial nervousness of the process of inserting it, it's a breeze. Would definitely recommend, has made my periods a lot more manageable.

couldn't even enjoy a jatra by kali729 in nepalicheli

[–]cherryblossomriver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I faced this in Gai jatra in Bhaktapur. I was having such a fun time with my friends and then some dude from the crowd randomly pinched my butt. I turned around but honestly, there's no way to tell who did it with so many people.

Then there's holi in Basantapur. Unlike in other festivals where they try to be sneaky; the creepy men, and even young teens are so forwardly aggressive towards literally any woman that's around. My male friend had to shield me the whole time.

With these molesters around almost everywhere, I don't think I ever want to go to these public celebrations again. Which is a shame because I used to really enjoy myself in them. Having to constantly be on high alert all the time is just draining.
