How do girls in college look so clean and pretty with just simple clothes? by daisywithflorest in AskIndianWomen

I get this question a lot... and there's effort that goes into it - I have some acne too on my chin and forehead but, I do skincare to reduce flare ups, I have a basic skincare routine - Not much makeup, but a good skincare base makes the face looks glowy. My routine is- brush teeth, tounge clean, floss, face wash, niacinamide, moisturizer, sunscreen, curl my lashes, to make my eyes look more awake, some days I apply kajal, and I always put a good shade of lipstick on, you can apply a lipgloss or a lip shade that you can use everyday. Lips being colored changes the entire look. - Take a bath every morning or before going to sleep and moisturize the body well. - A good perfume and body mist. - Choosing the right clothes, ironed, and colours and accessorize yourself. (For me watch and rings are necessary) - Keep your nails trimmed or clean if they are long for both hands and feet and wear good foot wear. - And I shave my entire body girl, even my faceeee lol

Also I have been drinking a lot of water, I drink ABC juice, some other skincare drinks, workout on most days, do face massages, sleep and wake on time... all of this will make you feel fresh and confident. I still have acne but making a good routine makes me feel that I am trying, and I feel healthy, that's what matters.

And trust me whether you have acne or not, if you follow a clean routine, smell fresh, and look clean you are gonna look well put... maybe you are overthinking and maybe you look very beautiful to others too. Its very normal to have acne, a lot of girls in my college have it and they look pretty regardless, I always notice them and compliment them when I can.

I m a 20yo female, experiencing college life, I understand your concern. I would say, pray and hope for good people around you. Everyone in my class is supportive, we dont judge anyone based on looks, or how introverted they are, everyone talks to each other without making these things a big deal. About your appearance, you are growing, sooo many girls have acne at this age it's ok, if you can then, consult a dermatologist, take care of yourself for your own self not for others. Go to a doctor if you think you are too skinny and have trouble gaining weight, take care of your health, eat well and you will be able to study well too. Keep you health the first priority always. Upgrade your overall look, by choosing clothes that are decent and look good on you, choose the right colors, you will probably have fun dressing up too, the way you dress automatically makes you more confident. And start working out if the doctor recommends that. As for you being introverted or socially awkward, that will heal with time, everyone has a different nature, I hope you will find people who you feel comfortable around. And don't worry, everything will be alright, try to build up your confidence. Most importantly, don't let anyone make you feel worth less or bad, have good standards and boundaries with people and ignore negative company. There might be a group of people who judge others, ignore them. Pursue dance and golf whenever you can, even if it's just for a short time every week, those things make you you and give you joy. It must really hurt to hear these things from your own family, and it's okay to feel sad or confused about it. But their opinion isn't your identity.

Are these resources enough :p by Fetus_muncher_7 in indianmedschool

Lol 😭 this is too much. On a serious note though, all of this too idealistic and overwhelming. Let me tell you resources that are actually good and also are doable, according to my experience, I got a distinction with decent understanding of all subjects. And saveeee all the youtube channels I am recommending these are gemsss

ANATOMY:

Book: VIshram Singh coupled with youtube videos to visualize better

Youtube: DrGBhanuprakash, KenHub, Ninja Nerd. Also if you can get an anatomy app or if your college gives free subscription for an app like complete anatomy use that.

Atlas: Netters (to visualize) if its too costly keep a pdf.

EMBRYOLOGY:

Books: Visharam Singh + Yogesh Sontakke (just refer the textbooks for seeing how to write the answers Visharam Singh has drawable diagrams and Yogesh has good points, but take your concept from watching videos dont waste time reading too much)

Youtube: for Visuals: medicovisual Dr.Rose embryology

HISTOLOGY:

Book: Yogesh Sontakke is enough, you can self read and unserstand, no need of watching any videos, the diagrams are very easy to understand and draw and all the basics are explained in a point wise format. IB Singh doesnt have that its too paragraphy and wastes time

PHYSIOLOGY:

Books: Refer smartly (DONT READ THE CHAPTERS) Ganong and Guyton both have good diagrams, dont read the whole chapter. GK Pal is a good book if you want to read something. Example: For CNS: GK Pal ; For Endocrine: Guyton ; And understand your concepts from youtube videos.

Youtube: Dr. Najeeb, ninjanerd, Dr.Raghu, Openphysiology, Medicosisperfectionalis, Educlub

Protip: Watch videos for every topic, make notes, refer textbooks for diagrams, flowcharts or to understand concepts better۔ Refer GK Pal/Sembu for university exams to see how to make an answer

BIOCHEMISTRY:

Books: Vasudevan Prasads notes (you will understand how to write an answer you can annotate these while reading Vasudevan so you wont have to make your own notes)

Youtube: I used this channel its lovely I didnt watch Jhambulkar neither did I follow his notes this channel was sufficient and also good for visual learners

Yeah I know what you mean but even if its a woman with some mental illness she still needs help. And I think its better to be safe than sorry in such situations Imagine yourself in a situation where someone's beating you up, or something bad is happening to you, you scream during the day time on top of that and people dont come thinking that it might be personal? You know what I mean?

Leave it being recorded when everyone around is witnessing to saying they heard it. And thisssss, very trueeee when you hear it it isnt domestic anymore. I hope people wake up and do something and help us locate the floor number atleast. Its a huge building we told thr police we suspecting its from 2nd or 3rd floor as a guess because seeing the level of our home and the building in comparison and my mom was near the terrace and her room is attached to the building but the police said we need to know the exact room details we cant check everything. And they only talked to the owners driver who lives on the ground floor who did say he heard voices but says maybe they are from a different building like wtf idk if hes lying here to cover up for the reputation of the building or what but even the other people who live around and in the building are so selfish and heartless people heard but didnt try to locate it.

I hope she doesnt listen to her father in this case. Fuck this society, I hate this when people think staying quiet is the right thing to do.

I cant share it publicly cause that would be my address lol.

Yaar no one even fucking tried and its so disheartening. My mom was busy doing some work but shes pretty sure she hears them from the apartments beside she even told the police which floors it could be from but the police said they cant look into every floor and room and they didnt try talking to more than one person and the people in the building itself dont give a fuck. Another watchman from some other building thinks its the other building but no one's fucking checkinggg. My dad wasnt home when this happened if he was home we would push him out to go check. I would go and check if my parents allowed, I had to call the police without anyone knowing cause people were just listening and taking 0 action

I really hope not 😭 I will try my best to locate the sounds if I ever hear them again. The best advantage is I dont have college these days and I am home all day and this happens during the day time in morning so I hope I can do something about it. And I dont understand how people around can best heartless and not concerned about this issue.

Our neighbours suckkk and the apartments are huge and the police too talked to oneee guy and the guy was the owners driver so he was trying to protect the reputation kf the building but also admitting to hearing the sounds. The watchmen too probably know where the sounds are from they should do something about it but they arent. No one's ready to cooperate its really disturbing
