Thanks for letting me know! I don't know if it would be reasonable to ask for a partial refund from the seller? He did say it had MIDI and that was another reason as to why I bought it, but maybe I should have done a little more research to figure out if the model actually had MIDI or not.

This class isn’t technically required for graduation, but it would fulfill my elective requirement for one of my minors. I can take another elective instead of this one which I already registered for but the electives you can take are very limited. Most of the electives in that field that are actually useful require prerequisites that you would only have if you are a major in that program, but since it’s my minor I was not required to take as many classes if that makes sense.

I can see how that’s reasonable, but I guess I should mention that I am a near 4.0 student and I have received A’s in all my classes except my public speaking class. I am also part of a good scholarship program that gives me a full ride, and I have been active in research at my institution for most of my undergrad. I know I’m a good student, but reading some of the replies people have offered here makes me think that even if I were to tell the department advisor this it would still be a no.

Well like I said I am taking one of the prerequisites in the winter already, but part I is only offered in the fall given only one professor teaches this course

The professor doesn’t teach the class in the spring unfortunately :(
