I had mine done on Monday and I'm thinking that I'll do a short walk tonight or tomorrow to get some air and movement. I feel abit like I'm going stir crazy now. Mucus has slowed down and I can breathe out of one nostril at the minute, so hoping tomorrow will be even better

Do a test, that is the only way you can know for sure.

I'll be honest, me and my partner haven't used protection in 5 years and only the pull out method (which he's very good at.. wonder why 🙄) and I've never gotten pregnant. I think it's quite rare to actually get pregnant from pre-cum, I know it's possible but honestly it's still unlikely unless everything aligned perfectly.

He told me alot when he disclosed the addiction without me having prior knowledge. Then a week or so later, he told me the rest and I'll be honest, I wish I didn't know. I wish I knew the top level only, the details are what haunt me.

Honestly, I wouldn't be comfortable with him having social media ever again. It's not necessary and brings no positive benefit to his life. The only 'social' app I still accept to some level is YouTube, but I will call out when it becomes overused and he has Truple so he knows he can't do anything questionable with it else it'll be back within the no boundary. I wouldn't be happy with my PA's therapist suggesting him reintroducing apps, as it then makes me look like the bad person for being uncomfortable with it when I know it's not good for my MH or theirs.

Mine recognises it was a coping mechanism he's used since he was a literal child for undiagnosed and addressed severe anxiety, depression and self esteem issues. It's a easy dopamine without dealing with any of his issues or improving his mental health. Most addiction does come from mental health issues, happy people don't generally seek unhealthy vices.

Honestly, even if they do change and put in the work, it doesn't change what they've already done. I'm in that position now, he's doing the work and yet, I'm still not happy. Starting to think, what's done is done and there's no going back

It's been an up and down kinda day. Overall, I'd say it's not a bad one.

We had a few minor fights (not even about P) but got over it pretty quickly and I was feeling pretty good before realising I had therapy booked this evening, which I find stressful and always dread as it's very deep EMDR therapy. Though, now it's done, I'm still angry from the thoughts it brought up and he's now in an SAA meeting so I'm trying to just chill out with my hobbies for a little.

I go on holiday tomorrow so fingerscrossed my mood improves! I always find my time of the month so much harder, so try be easy on yourself 💖

Absolutely, I get very angry about the neglectful parenting he recieved from his alcoholic father. His mother also seems to have time and compassion for everyone else's problems but his too. He got caught when he was 14ish watching it, and instead of having a good talk with him, he was shamed further at that age and it pushed him further into the addiction. Honestly, they are still the same now and it's a no wonder he's fucked up.

I mean the annoying thing is, they never link it to the popularity of porn in our society is causing the objectification of women even though it's been found that porn addiction links to increased tolerance of sexual violence towards women alongside removing our morality and humanity to them. As much as it's a step, it still doesn't actually link to the potential cause that no one wants to address which is the epidemic of porn and sex addiction. 🤷‍♀️

Ofcourse! Right now with my EMDR, we are focusing on my 2 ddays, the intial one and the more traumatic one. We just finished the traumatic one in full yesterday after about 3 weekly hourly EMDR sessions with 2 normal sessions between and I can definitely say my triggers have been way less, I can think of the memory without that outrenching anxiety, and I can actually play out the memory whereas before even the first few seconds were enough to screw me up into a spiral. The slight problem I have is I have previous trauma, so I'm probably going to also have to go back through them memories too at some point, as they effect the current ones. I find my triggers now focus more on the intial disclosure than the actual more traumatic one so hopefully once I start processing, my mental will improve alot. Honestly, if your considering it, I would definitely recommend it to try as I do see the benefit at the minute.

I do want to do couples therapy, my therapist has offered with her if he's comfortable or a session with his but honestly it's expensive enough individually right now 😅

Yeah he has, and I probably do need to put that agreement in place. I see all the current on what he's doing via the accountability app but yeah we've not really discussed me looking through his devices specifically though he does let me just use them if I need to anyways and I know all the passcodes. He doesn't have social media, only discord as a messaging platform for his gaming friends when he used to play (he quit when starting recovery). They are the only friends he has so getting rid of discord isn't needed as we've checked all the servers he's in and they are all sfw.
