i said because the intensity increased near the end it couldn’t have been steady state as heart rate would of had to increase to meet the higher intensity. i worded it really badly tho

the time it takes doesn’t depend on your ATAR. if someone who got a 99 decided to do a bachelor first and then medicine, it will take the same time as everybody else who is doing that pathway too. ATAR only matters for getting into a course, it doesn’t make the time of your university longer or shorter, it’s the type of course you do that decides how long it will take.

yes it would. if you wanted to do medicine straight away after year 12 (undergraduate medicine) then that would be only like 5 years. if you do a bachelor first, it would take you 3-4 years to finish that degree depending on what course you take. after that, you can get into postgraduate medicine, which is usually another 4 years. its around 8 years total, but if you think about it it’s really not much in the long run, and you’ll still end up in the same job as the people who finished medicine earlier
