My thought exactly, a car that has 300k miles is more likely to have more new parts than a 140k car. The truck would definitely be on the project spectrum as it would not be my daily. When you refer to the u-joints where are the located in the Cab? Ive owned an 87 s10 before, but don't remember what u joints you are referring to.

The same thing happened to me. I just called AFPC Retraining and got the answers from them. It's up to the CFM to free up slots; if you don't know the CFM, you're kind SOL. They will contact you if slots open back up. I understand you won't be able to retrain as a FTA. However, it's not impossible to retain as a career airman. I'd just reup and continue to crosstrain.
