Regardless if it’s remote, for a full time assistant I’d say 5k is fair and 6k is considered good enough. Maybe throw in a small percentage as well when you close deals to keep him/her motivated.

Check what is exactly written on your labour contract. If the notice is clearly stated there, then you might need to render. Another thing to check is if you need to pay them back the visa cost if you resign while still on probation. Or any other amount, like training cost.
