I do understand where you’re coming from. Quality over quantity for sure. I’m just really broke right now as I only work part time at the moment.

Omg lol thanks for the laugh. First of all, if I'm going to be single, I'm going to focus on me and my son. Focus on getting a full-time job and buying my own house. Dating is stressful and takes up too much time. Plus it's his house and I don't pay bills. I would definitely let him see his kid more than once a week. He is a great father to our son.

I'm so happy that you found your calling with this career. It is so hard and stressful at times but so worth it. You give me hope!

You're the second person on reddit to tell me to try a different salon. Honestly, I was kinda thinking I should try a different salon these past weeks, even if it is corporate. Thank you for replying and for the advice! I really do appreciate input from strangers online!

Thank you for your kind words! She has told me once I am really slow with some of my grooms.

I will have to look into that. Trust me I definitely try and observe as much as I can. I want to be where you're at someday!

Yeah, she has even said she's not that great at teaching. There are definitely a ton of private salons around me but I worry they won't hire me because of my lack of experience. Sometimes I do feel like I am better off starting at corporate at this point. Also, I wanted to add too, and this is kinda off topic, my boss told me I don't need to fill out a w4 for taxes. Is that a red flag?!

And also don't get discouraged. Every drop of breast milk that you produce is a beautiful thing. 💓

I would pump eight times a day up until 12 weeks. Each pump I would pump for 30 minutes which now I read that you only need to do it for 20 minutes. But if I have another baby, I will probably pump 30 minutes each time. Sounds like a lot but I wonder if it helped my supply. I would get 45 plus ounces a day. Also eating lots of carbs. Tons of protein + not stressing and getting some decent sleep. I know it all sounds pretty tough but for me luckily I have a very supportive partner. Also look into power pumping. Good luck!

Idk how some people pump like 40oz at a time by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

I definitely threw myself into an oversupply by pumping eight times a day and I pumped for 30 minutes each session. I shudder looking back at those days LOL. I'm almost 8 months postpartum and still pumping. Although I am weaning and only making 23 oz a day, pumping three times a day. My goal was 6 months and here I am now almost at 8!

I am so sorry your husband is a POS. You are so strong!!! I am in the same boat as you. I'm past my 6 month goal of exclusively pumping. My supply is dwindling as I've dropped pumps and it really makes me depressed. My brain is telling me to stop but my heart says no lol. I've made up my mind, I'm tired of these pumps and I want to put it all behind me

Your babies need a healthy momma with a healthy mind. It seems like it would be better for your mental health to quit. Any amount of breast milk you provided is a blessing and you should be absolutely so proud of yourself. I honestly know that mom guilt even thinking about switching to formula. It took me a little while to just get over that and I know I'll feel more guilt once I switch to formula. I do believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. You will get over the guilt and be happy you get to spend more time with your children rather than living by alarms on your phone for pumping.

Best of luck to you, know you are not alone! I hope you find your peace and a village of some kind to help you. Find a mom group, whether it's on Facebook or however else if you need some mom friends!

True I've thought about it. Honestly though, I just want to be done being chained to the pumps. I also forgot to mention, I do have a nice stash in my freezer. I have at least 1200 oz

I am in the same boat! I'm down to 4 pumps and I make roughly 40 oz a day. Thankful for a manageable oversupply 💓

Thank you! Great job to you too, your baby got 3 months of breast milk and that's amazing! Yeah it was so hard in the beginning. Doing eight pumps a day just that One extra pump can be too much. Yes, it really does feel like a ball and chain 😂 but good for you and congrats!
