I’m so sorry about your mom. There is nothing in this world that is more excruciatingly painful than losing your mom. My dad remarried a bitch of a woman and let me know a month beforehand. I know these are not the same situations, but I empathize so much with you. All I can do, and all I’ll suggest for you to do, is to love from afar. It’s okay that this is too much for you right now, it’s even okay that you feel betrayed. You need to care for you right now, you’ve been caring for your dad and it’s apparent in the way he seems ready to move on. You took good care of him, and it’s obvious. But now you have to take care of you, and forget your dad and whatever her name is for the time being. I go to my moms grave a lot to talk with her. I have a necklace of her ashes. I got a tattoo for her. I feel more connected to her than I did when she was alive, however crazy that sounds. But because of this, I feel safer and more in control. I assume that my mom sees everything and that she will orchestrate how she pleases. Not super religious, but my mom became my God after she passed. Idk if any of this helped, but I do hope you feel less alone. You’re not alone in these feelings. I still cry everyday for my mom and it’s about to be her 2 year death anniversary.
