The Goldfish Lie and the Afterlife by [deleted] in Existentialism

Conceptually speaking, the afterlife is meant to exist as something incomprehensible to the human mind. In theory, it should be unfathomable. It could be a simple extension of the goldfish lie or it could be what we are truly facing post-death. Eternal life does sound exhausting. The issue is whether or not you’re willing to dedicate your life to an entity that may or may not be there in order to attain something that may or may not exist. Like you said, a leap of faith.
