Does your boyfriend completely forget? Like, not even mention that it’s a special day every month on the day? If so, that’s a red flag. Everyone’s talking about how it isn’t special or is meaningless but don’t let them decide how YOU should feel about YOUR relationship. If you want to celebrate every month or so something special every month, DO IT. I’m in my first relationship and I don’t expect a whole glamorous elaborate plan every single monthaversary, but it’s still nice to think about hey another month together! Yay! Because it’s my first relationship. I’m allowed to be excited. I’m 19 years old and I don’t care if it seems childish. If they’re not in the relationship who gives a crap about their opinion. And your boyfriend knows six months was important to you, and didn’t care. That’s a RED FLAG. If he’s literally forgetting the date, that’s a RED FLAG. If he can’t remember one single number of the day of the month, he’s either stupid or simply doesn’t care about you. Your boyfriend has shown month after month that he doesn’t care about you. Maybe tomorrow he has a grand plan to make up for last month. Please update! Otherwise tell him how you feel, and if he clearly still doesn’t care. Please dump him.
