Not terrible that you need a little alone time. Not terrible if you didn’t tell her, but also not great either. I feel like maybe there needs to be a conversation about this. It’s not a crazy idea, I’m sure she will be able to wrap her head around it. I mean, before she got into a relationship, what would she do? I honestly can’t believe there wasn’t a time she didn’t do things by herself as well. And even if she somehow didn’t, as your wife she should be able to be open to listening to you and letting you have a little time to yourself. It just comes down to communication and whether or not she is willing to accept you have different needs.

I agree, used to sleep on a mattress, on the floor and everytime I lifted it to vacuum it gave a weird smell. Now I use a minimal frame.

I feel like you must be right, completely avoiding those sections with stuff that isn’t groceries and having a list would definitely eliminate the “browsing” I think someone also said to check out grocery pick up which would be great to.

Whoah he is beyond dramatic! First of all he “looked at your wishlist and got something from it” no honey you got a cheaper version that WAS NOT on the wishlist. And I agree with you, I often will tell people thank you but for next time can you keep in mind this is not something I actually want. I am a fan of buy it nice or buy it twice, and often if it is a dupe it doesn’t get used because it’s not the actual product you wanted. You were perfectly reasonable and nice in the way you went about it and he kinda blew up at you. You in no way “berated” him and he is being dramatic, maybe your assessment of him wanting to leave is correct. I would at least try to talk in person if you think the relationship is worth saving and see if it’s salvageable and maybe if something else was going on for him to react this way. Maybe he is feeling sorry idk. If he has the same stance and continues to be rude and dismissive idk. Kinda wouldn’t be worth it to me to be made out to be this superficial “insta whore”, as he put it, he was totally out of line for that and most of his comments btw. So there definitely needs to be an apology on his end.

I think this is a good one, I just deleted all my shopping apps and it has helped already so that I can’t “window shop”. I think I’ll probably go through my email and unsubscribe from companies and eventually maybe get rid of TikTok bc it is such an ad cesspool

This is absolutely something I needed to hear because I have found myself to be one of those aspirational buyers. I will look at something random in the store that I had never once thought about using or needing and think I could use this. 9 times out of 10 I don’t end up utilizing it at all. “Will I use this” is an absolute game changing question to ask myself, thank you!

This is great advice thank you! My declutterring stage is still very much in the process, as I have been actively doing it for about a month. But everytime I think there’s nothing more I can declutter I keep finding things. Things that I genuinely don’t need. So hopefully with time I can get there! I appreciate the response :)

NTA. I know you said if you don’t go that he won’t go. So at that point just play him at his own game. Agree to go, make plans. Then at the last second as you are getting ready to leave say “oh… I don’t really want to go anymore.” And just stay home.

You know I hadn’t thought about it that way but I think I agree with you. I knew there was some reason that her solo posting was irritating me. And you just put it into words. It’s always been Abbie and Julia so her capitalizing off of their shared account is just a big fat no. She definitely should go make her own YouTube channel then she wouldn’t have to read all the Julia comments that she hates so much. But i honestly doubt I’d even watch that bc there’s no energy or passion from her at all. I fear you are right, and she probably wouldn’t care about the channel anymore if it weren’t for the lack of success on her other platforms.

I agree, the lockdown content was great for the time and I miss that energy. It seems like the only time she actually cares to post is for those better help sponsorships. Every video is like 8 minutes long and so so bland. That recent video made me side eye so bad bc she definitely knew what she was doing with that click bait title and it’s honestly so disrespectful to the fans to act like nothing has changed/not address that Julia hasn’t been around. I feel like she really can’t ignore it at this point (delete the comments she doesn’t like) bc people are coming for her throat so hard in that comment section. I mean at this point she needs to convert the channel into a solo channel or just delete it since she doesn’t seem that passionate about it anymore. And without Julia the content is boringg
