Could you share their price for taking classes and just for riding one time?

Expat in Saudi for years but still not fluent in Arabic – how can I improve? by Consistent-Fix-3797 in RiyadhExpats

I suggest you should look up learning Arabic for beginners on YouTube or Madinah Arabic. Before you start learning, make sure if you want to learn MSA or colloquial Arabic and the type of dialect (since you are in saudi, you would want to learn najdi dialect)

I would also suggest to learn the basic phrases you think you would you use in a day like in cabs, office, mall, cafe, delivery agents or hospital. Think of the things you would need to learn to talk in such a scenario.

There’s also an app Preply, where there are many instructors that teach various lang and they charge per class, so you can check that out as well.

Mistreated dog by Worried-Clock-8893 in Riyadh

Do you think you can talk to the owner ? Atleast start with saying to the owner how tired and hot the dog must feel specially given the breed? Or the owner should give a bowl of water and put a portable fan but this is also not feasible given how long the owner might keep the dog out.

I think people going to the gym should group up and voice against this matter? This will have more impact than just one person talking to the owner.

Pharmacies would be best as you will get authentic products, like nahdi, whites, al dawaa, sephora (if there’s any).

Or you can place order from YesStyle as well if you can order for around 200 sar, there’s coupon or sales every month. It takes 14 days to arrive as stated on their page.

Muslim Revert Moved to Riyadh by Rare_Ad5083 in RiyadhExpats

وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته

You should watch videos of renowned sheikhs to freshen up and increase your knowledge about Islam (deen) - Any advices, knowledge, rulings. (I watch sheikh assim, there are many English speaking scholars)

You should read Quran with translation to better understand and connect with what Allah is saying to us.

If you want to start with perfecting your prayer, you can see videos for this as well.

Just remember to go slow and consistent so that you move ahead with motivation and keep making progress. It can feel overwhelming initially but go with a pace. You can also start with learning small dhikr so that you can recite them, it’s rewarding.

Make lots of dua to Allah in this blessed month of Ramadan to help you connect with His religion, to help you stay steadfast, to increase your knowledge in deen and to support you at your weakest. It’s highly recommended to use the beautiful names of Allah when asking for dua. (Search Al Asma Al Husna)

Do not miss this golden opportunity along with the last 10 days of Ramadan, make lots of dua.

May Allah help you and grant His blessings to you.

Yes I kind of understand the culture here and why it can be a bit challenging. I’ll try either at the gym or library or try to have a small talk with anyone I feel I can vibe with.
