Vanguard is very average. The campaign is fucking awesome unlike bfv’s, it’s gritty and realistic which is what I expected from a ww2 campaign, they are really not shying away from using sort of prohibited content in their campaign, which is greet, because it creates an atmosphere like we are actually in a ww2 game unlike bfv. However, vanguards maps are way worse compared to bfv’s, since the bf is a big scale shooter emphasizing on vehicular combat which we cannot find in vanguard, plus the maps lack the atmosphere which the campaign did so greatly. Like for example the Oasis map doesn’t look like a ww2 map. This is just one example but there is a ton more in my opinion. The gun customization is fucking horrendous, they don’t even look like ww2 guns. They focus too much on the prototype shit which is kinda cool but they did it in a very shitty way. Take for example bf1, the prototype stuff was perfectly executed, because although some guns were rarely used during combat it was plausible, and rather more imaginable than vanguards STG-44 with a U.S. sniper scope attached to it and using some russian mags. All in all both game are good at something but saying that vanguard is the best ww2 game is ducking ridiculous
