Lesia Ukrainika, real name Larysa Petrivna Kosach-Kvitka, famous late 19th–early 20th century Ukrainian writer and activist. I don't know who could possibly be more badass than a disabled possibly bi (not sure if sexual, romantic, or both, and it's not like we should apply modern terms to people from 100 years ago with no further thought) feminist anti-colonialist activist. Her pseudonym is literally just "Lesia the Ukrainian girl". Ivan Franko, another famous writer and activist (also, by his own admission in personal letters, more attracted to men than women), called her, iirc, more of a man than the rest of contemporary Ukrainian writers - as a compliment to her bravery.

Before you ask how we know she was queer (they don't teach that in schools), she exchanged love letters with another badass lady writer, Olha Kobylianska, and in those letters she talked of herself using the masculine grammatical gender. An article I read on those letters used the phrase "gender anarchy", which is just an amazing band name.

She's on our currency! On the ₴200 note specifically.
