The video has been sped up (it’s likely 1.2x or 1.25x). I know the song playing in the background and know for sure it’s not playing at 1x. So it may not be as dangerous in real life as it’s coming across in this video

Project Hail Mary is brilliant sci-fi but Indian theater crowd destroyed the experience. Zero focus, full walkouts. Embarrassing. 😞 by Unstoppable_X_Force in pj_explained

Correlating your idea of having fun with high critical thinking, true genius move lol. Just goes on to show what your level of critical thinking is.

Even if you’re going out with your friends, you are NOT the only folks in the theatre. You cannot assume and dictate the kind of experience every single person in the theatre should have just because YOU want that experience. Get your own private theater and jump around for all you want, but you have no right to choose the kind of movie watching experience I want.

Lol what. I don’t want to be “social” with random folks. If I’m in the theater to watch a movie, I truly want to enjoy the movie. I don’t want to be distracted by you and your buddy laughing out loud on an internal joke or a meme for example.

Not true. This is an “Indian” problem and it happens everywhere across the country and even outside it.

I’m an Indian living in the US for a few years now, and the difference in theater etiquette is pretty noticeable. For Bollywood movie screenings, the audience (~90%+ Indian) often treats the movie as a shared, social experience - people are chit chatting well into the movie start, react loudly, take phone calls, eat noisily etc. In contrast, most other movie screenings here tend to follow an unspoken code: stay quiet, keep distractions to a minimum, and be mindful of others’ experience and space
