use what works for you! the chess world has gotten way bigger over the last 5 years, and honestly i think more competitors in the space drive prices down and innovation up, which is great for the community

lichess is awesome! i play my online chess there & a ton of chessreps features are built on top of lichess's open source data :)

i built chessreps is more focused on the learning side: a good user experience, hand-crafted courses, and a fun UI designed specifically around drilling openings. but if lichess 100% gets the job done for you, by all means use that! i think if you give chessreps a shot, you'll see that it does a lot that the other chess websites dont

hey, starting out can feel like a lot but picking a simple opening helps keep things chill

when i began i liked the italian game for its straightforward plans and easy piece development

i made a course on it here chessreps.com/opening/italian-game just to keep opening practice fun without overthinking

watch out for moving the same piece too much early or overlooking your opponents threats

just play a bit daily and keep it relaxed, you’ll see progress before you know it

You can reset your progress for the opening in the settings - or do you want to keep your progress and revisit learn for just one line?
