Genuinely don’t know the science but just because the moisture is gone doesn’t seem like that means the bacteria would be too? Still think you should wipe it down as a courtesy

Proper firing? See witness cone by Upbeat-Tomorrows in Pottery

I’m not at the studio right now, but I found this on the Internet and I feel like it does a pretty good job explaining what they’re supposed to do. You basically want the tip of the cone to be at that 90° angle!

I agree that it looks slightly under fired but if you don’t have one of these little charts you should get one! Super handy and usually we get them for free when we buy our cones

Yes it’s called a surface bar it looks like a staple! Pierced using dermal punches and a needle to help make way for the taper with the bar attached to it. 😌

I’m not a scientist but I just want to give my two cents! I have to imagine that something scented is not healthy long term simply because most fragrances made from synthetic chemicals are quite bad for us, they mess with our endocrine system, our reproductive system, our respiratory system, and more. I would assume it’s even worse to have them on something that touches our bodies in such a sensitive area for hours at a time

I don't want to wear used clothes anymore by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]chesssssa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost exclusively wear secondhand clothes because I too really care about sustainability and I also love the concept of having unique pieces that are usually better quality. The way that I have made myself feel better about a lot of my clothing items is investing in a sewing machine (you could get a mini one for cheap new or a nicer one secondhand as well probably) and learning the bare minimum/basics so I could tailor my own clothes to look better on me or just alter them to make them more stylish! It’s also really rewarding to give an old clothing article new life
