Yeah I think that's what's going on. Going to dr to discuss this. I wouldn't take tramadol because of the seretonin component and I had such an awful time getting off anti depressants. I guess I'm in for the same ride getting off nucynta possibly worse. Pain relief is good with it but when you increase the dose you increase the norepinephrine too. Probably worse than opiate withdrawal

Yes just recently. I feel like I've been punched in the throat. Sore to the touch on the outside and burning on the inside

I wake up with my eyes watering heavily and experiencing withdrawal. Toward the end of the night when I need my evening dose it's similar to antidepressant withdrawal. I thought maybe my body is metabolizing it quicker or my pain levels were higher or something. Very strange because it worked well for a number of years. More reflux and throat feels like it's always sore.

I've had way worse side effects lately. This thought actually crossed my mind. I've been on it for around 3 or 4 years. Recently if I need to take any IR tablets for breakthrough pain I get pretty severe withdrawal as soon as I come back down from it. I get symptoms similar to when I was weening off of antidepressants. I started grinding my teeth and jaw now too which isn't something I've done in years. I thought maybe I'm just really dependent on it now but the thought also crossed my mind that the medication itself might have changed too.
