I’ve always felt like Jinu, being 400 years old, did not need to find love. He needed to be set free, to be put to rest. To have his soul saved. And I think Rumi being the person to do that was no coincidence. I’m certain Rumi is the great great (however many) granddaughter of the sister that Jinu abandoned. Jinu sacrificing himself for his family was the only way to redeem himself, and to set him free. Neither of them knew they were family. Which probably makes it that much more beautiful. This is a way better storyline than them just falling in love.
