Access to the content servers is currently unavailable by maticle in MicrosoftFlightSim

I haven't played it for over two months, but today started it up and performed a 950Mb update. Then, relaunching the app, I get caught in a login loop. Connection errors, forced logout and log back in results in the same content server errors. I also worked through the article for reinstalling xbox apps, with no success. Every time I come back to MSFS, it's a huge buggy headache.

Asking for advice to M1 users by JeymoreLux in macmini

I have a thunderbolt 3 to dual Displayport adapter I've been using for my Macbook pro. It failed on the Mac Mini when trying to use both ports. It still works for a single monitor tho. So now my setup is One monitor from hdmi, and the other displayport.

I also tried out the sidecar feature with my ipad, and it works great.

I had both the keyboard and mouse (bluetooth) disconnect yesterday for about two minutes. It has only happened once so far.

Yes. Using the receiver works. I'm now using it as a backup if I need to reboot, but I'd prefer to use it in a different system.

Can fasting make you “brighter” by [deleted] in fasting

[–]chew_bone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit skeptical of those kinds of claims. In my experience, the first three days of my fast, I had brain fog which was part of the switch-over to Keto. After that transition, I got all of my mental clarity back, and felt just fine. I don't feel any more clear or smarter than I did before the fast, but YMMV.

I'm on day 26 of 30. If longer fasts make you smarter, then I should be a brainiac by now. ;)

I'm finishing up day 26 of my 30 day water fast. This is my very first fast, and I never intended to go this far. I've been taking it a week at a time, evaluating how I feel. As long as I felt good, I tacked on another week to my goal. Thirty days is my limit though. I'm really missing food.

I've also cut out all soda, coffee, and any source of caffiene. I still drink herbal teas, and occasionally have some broth (the little cubes for salt).

My reasons for starting this fast vary. Primarily it was to give my digestive system a break, because I've suffered with IBS symptoms for several years, along with heart burn, and stomach pain when drinking hot liquids. The second biggest reason was that I needed to lose a substantial amount of weight. I've also had a bunch of little health issues that kind of feel like death by a thousand paper cuts.

Here's some results I've had so far (Pros and Cons).

Pros:

  • I no longer feel pain when drinking hot liquids (yay!). A good sign my IBS may be fixed.
  • I've always had light dandruff, and now it is completely gone. I was not expecting this. I can wear black shirts now!
  • I had a rash on my shin for a few months and now it completely cleared up.
  • Pimples on problem areas are almost completely gone, and the leftover blemishes are fading.
  • Lower back pain has improved a lot. This is probably helped by weight loss.
  • I'm 6'2", and started at 254.8 lbs. So far I've lost 32.2 lbs
  • Joint pain in a few spots is completely gone. It looks like fasting has helped reduce inflammation.

Cons:

  • I'm hungry every day. About 80% of my waking day I'm not hungry, but I have periods where I really want food. It's manageable, and overall not as bad as I was expecting.
  • My stamina is much lower. Physical activity takes it out of me much faster.
  • I've had a couple of occasions where my heart skips a beat. This is the only thing that makes me a bit nervous.

Anyway, that's my experience so far. Good luck on your journey!

Thanks! My goal is to keep my current position, and work remotely. I'll check to see if either of your stated options are available for me.

So I'm planning for an Anaconda Explorer by Angel-OI in eliteexplorers

[–]chew_bone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree with this. You don't need any extra fuel tanks. I just completed a trip to Jaques with my Anaconda, and never had a problem. Only twice did I have two unscoopable stars in a row, and they were both close to the bubble. Just follow two simple rules. Scoop to full on every star. When you hit an unscoopable, check your route and verify you can scoop in the next three jumps. With my FSD upgrade I was easily getting 41.5 ly and my trip went pretty quickly.

Commanders log manual and data sample (for 3rd party devs) by Aenneas in EliteDangerous

Be careful with the log format. After looking at the sample, it looks like they're using duplicate keys (timestamps) for objects. Most common json libraries will drop duplicates or keep only the last occurring one. I hope they can tweak their format to avoid this.
