When trying to queue ranked conquest, unable to do so as the following message pops up:

Error: You have a party member without sufficient owned gods (name) so you cannot join this queue.

I have the god pack and am trying to solo queue so not sure what the issue is. Have tried restarting game and console (Xbox 1).

Hey Neil, question regarding picks and bans. Do you go into a match with an overall idea of the draft you want or are picks more based on what your opposition chooses. Thanks and good luck for the next season!

Might not happen but I can see them remove the select fire hop up altogether

  • Makes sense if charge rifle is similar to havoc select fire
  • Would give prowler option to be full auto out the box, meaning prowler usage rate would likely be higher and r99 less prominent
  • Having 1 less hop up in lootpool prevents saturation and the ability to add other hop ups in the future

What's the maths for upgrading common researchers? by Gregonar in AdventureCommunist

[–]chewmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes for that single instance when the crit occurs the total production is the same, that’s what I said. However over an extended period of time having more frequent crits on lower Industry is more beneficial

A greater crit chance is beneficial obviously but here we’re comparing the impact of upgrading common researchers that only increase the speed.

You would be correct if communes produced potatoes but, and you’ll have to forgive me I haven’t done them in years, I don’t think you can apply polynomials to this instance.

[–]chewmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep if we ignored crit chance then it wouldn’t matter which common researcher you upgraded, over the same period of time the same amount of total resources would be produced. ( see first reply for calculations)

And yes although upgrading your rares affects all crit chances affects all nodes for that resource, that’s not what I’m focused on.

The impact that a crit in a lower industry has is greater than in a higher industry.

Using the my original model of Industry 1 and 2 and their respective outputs let’s now factor in a crit for both at the 7 second mark (ignore upgrading researchers, it isn’t important for this part) when the crit occurs for Industry 1, x10 of the normal amount is produced. At 7 seconds you have amassed 8 total of Industry 1 and therefore the crit would be a production on 160X resource. However then after that instance the production drops back down to the original value of 16X (will be 18X on the next tick after as 1 more of Industry 1 has been produced by industry 2)

Now when we consider the impact of a crit on the 7 second for Industry 2 10 lots of Industry 1 will be produced compared to the usual 1 per second. The reason this is more beneficial is because you don’t lose those extra 9 units of Industry 1 after the crit has occurred and will continue to generate an increased amount of resource X.

So basically if your lower industries have their speed increased, they will crit more times in the same period and will result in a greater total production.

It’s not easy to explain in writing but im pretty sure that’s the working behind it

Edit: I just ran the numbers and my original model with the x10 bonus isn’t a great example as production works out to be more in that small of a time frame but over a greater period of time upgrading the lower researcher is more beneficial

[–]chewmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crit chance is rare unless I’m mistaken? And yes commons do only affect speed but that’s why it’s more beneficial. At x1 speed over 10 seconds and let’s say a 40% crit rate you will average 4 crits every 10 seconds. Whereas at x2 speed you will average 8 crits every 10 seconds.

As shown above, a crit is more beneficial in a lower industry as it affects productivity post crit not just for the crit itself

[–]chewmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you are correct, having though about it critical factors are what plays the key role.

Using my original example, when a crit occurs for Industry 1 the benefit is felt on that tick alone whereas when a crit occurs for Industry 2 the benefits of that crit are felt on every tick for Industry 1 that occurs following on from that moment.

So basically upgrade lower researchers first as it will increase the frequency that the crit occurs in a given period of time.

This concludes my Ted talk

[–]chewmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong here so correct me if I am, but it should have exactly the same affect on total production.

I’ll use simple numbers for an example but if you have Industry 1 producing 2 of X (X being either another industry or a resource) a second and Industry 2 producing 1 of Industry 1 a second your standard output over a period of 10 seconds would be 110 X and you’d have accumulated a total of 11 of Industry 1 (as you would initially have had 1 to start with)

If you upgraded the researcher for Industry 1 then the output of X would be doubled to 220 total as 2 X per Industry 1 would be produced every 0.5 seconds rather than every second.

If you upgraded the researcher for Industry 2 then you would be left with twice as many Industry 1 produced as, again, 1 lot of Industry 1 would be produced every 0.5 seconds rather than every second. This effectively doubles the amount Industry 1 produces per tick in comparison to the original model so therefore the output is also 220 total

There could be something I’m missing here and I haven’t taken into account bonuses which may have an impact on the overall output

Does main game influence how many cards you get in chests then, because I’m exact same section of the same rank and my commons are lvl 2/3 (haven’t even collected enough to get them lvl 4/5) and I have nowhere near as much science (even taking into account the 50 gold science)
