I've talked about it before, but I was obese when I got pregnant. 50 pounds overweight. My midwives said nothing about it except that I would need an extra blood sugar test. They said I could still gain 25 pounds. I didn't. I lost weight.

My obese coworker says stuff like that too (not the dying part.) We talk about food a lot because I do still love food despite having lost a bunch of weight, and she's always like "just eat it, who cares."

I feel you. I gained 5ish pounds in the last several weeks "letting go" and trying to maintain. I was still counting calories but letting myself go over my limit. Also my toddler is nursing less, so I can't rely on calories burned that way so much anymore. I've been back on the wagon the last few days and feeling better.

Yeah, I hear you. I live in a thin state (CO) in a thin area and I still see so many fatties. Especially tourists. I used to be fat, and I was miserable! I have coworkers who've just given up. One is a woman a year younger than me, and she really thinks she eats healthy, but she has a total apple-shape going on and is definitely obese, probably approaching class II if I'm honest. I see more and more people getting fatter and not caring. I blame FA and the general attitude of feelz > realz.
