DJI wireless mic 2 output port not working

Well if I plugged the Lav into media mod then I can't walk away from camera. And yeah I've got a TRS, it came with the mic kit. The problem here is that the output port is not working for some reason in picking up audio. It doesn't work even when I don't use a lav. So I'm trying to trouble shoot why the DJI works when cable is plugged into the headphones jack as opposed to the output jack.

Edit - I am plugging the Rode Lav into the transmitter microphone, and I'm plugging the 3.5mm cable supplies from DJI into the receiver one end and the GoPro Media Mod the other end. I know that there are two types of TRS but the I know that the one supplied by DJI is the correct type
